Located on the southern part of Georgia's scenic coastline and only four hours driving time  from Vero Beach, St. Simons Island is rich in beauty and culture.  St. Simons Island is the  largest barrier island in the Golden Isles and was made famous by poet Sidney Lanier and  novelist Eugenia Price.  We will spend two nights and three days in the Village of St. Simons which offers a view of the waterfront with ships passing by, a tour of the beautiful lighthouse, quaint shops along tree-lined streets and restaurants that offer a variety of culinary delights including fresh seafood. We will stay in the Village's oldest hotel - the Village Inn and Pub, winner of the 2003 Coastal Living Award and is walking distance to the entire village area; We will venture outside the village for a few hours when we take a guided tour of other  historical sites in and around St. Simon's Island - i.e., Christ Church, Fort Frederica, the old  Coast Guard Station and Museum, eateries, etc.
